Manufacturers of sensitive or perishable products must guarantee high quality over a long period of time. Modified Atmosphere Packaging plays a decisive role in this. Typical protective gases are nitrogen (N2), carbon dioxide (CO2) and oxygen (O2) as well as a mixture of these gases – all natural components of the ambient air but in modified concentrations that need to be checked. Controlling modified atmospheres on a regular basis requires gas analysers that deliver fast, reliable measurement results and can be easily integrated into the work process – just like the new devices of the MAT1000 series from A.KRÜSS Optronic.
- The MAT1100 with its electrochemical oxygen cell is the right choice if you only need to check the O2 concentration or only N2 is used.
- The MAT1200 with its additional non-dispersive infrared sensor is the economical solution for O2 and CO2 measurements.
- The MAT1400 with its zirconium dioxide sensor is the specialist for fast, high-precision O2 measurements.
- The MAT1500 combines the advantages of the MAT1200 and MAT1400 offering maximum applicability, performance and precision.
Only a small sample volume is required, and stable measured values are available after 5–10 sec. An optional foot switch for triggering measurements allows a fast, fatigue-proof mode of operation in case of serial analyses. The MATs feature a self-explanatory, well-arranged user interface that allows even non-expert personnel to perform their measuring tasks intuitively and quickly. This user interface is implemented on all our measurement devices so that work can always be done in the same hassle-free manner regardless of the field of application. A state-of-the-art TFT display visualises all the information clearly and brightly, and the integrated touch-screen completes the comfortable user experience.
